Luc Borrelli, the Lyons reserve goalkeeper, has been killed in a car accident. Borrelli, who was 33, crashed into the back of a lorry on the highway from Paris to Lyons on Wednesday. His car caught fire and he was unable to escape. Marseilles-born Borrelli joined Lyon from Second Division Caen last year. He previously played for Paris St Germain and Toulon, with whom he made his First Division debut in October 1986.Reuse content
Alan Maybury, Leeds' 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international defender, has joined the Scottish Premier League club Dunfermline on loan until the end of the season.
