The BBC will screen the whole of the Euro 2000 play-off first leg between England and Scotland at Hampden Park after the final whistle on 13 November. Sky Sports 2 will be showing the game live, but after negotiations the two broadcasters have reached agreement to screen the game on terrestrial television as well.

The Motherwell manager Billy Davies has been named the Scottish Premier League manager of the month after an impressive run of form which included a surprise 1-0 victory over Celtic at Parkhead.

Enrique Martin, the coach of the Spanish Second Division side Leganes, has been handed a 10 match ban by the Spanish Football Federation for tackling an opposing Badajoz player. Five minutes before the end of the match the Badajoz forward Sabino Santos broke away down the touchline until Martin stepped on to the pitch and robbed him of the ball. Martin said he believed Santos was offside, although the assistant referee had not raised his flag.
