ARCHIE GEMMILL, the former Nottingham Forest player and coach, is expected to be named manager of Rotherham United today. His No 2 will be John McGovern, who resigned as Plymouth Argyle's assistant manager yesterday. He will be replaced temporarily by Ian Bowyer, the youth-team coach at Plymouth.

COVENTRY CITY have finalised the signing of the United States international winger, Cobi Jones, who has been granted a work permit.
