BARRY LITTLE, a midfield player with Dover Athletic, has died at the age of 30 following a long illness. Formerly with Charlton Athletic, he was Dover's captain when they won the Beazer Homes League two years ago, but his illness prevented him from playing in the GM Vauxhall Conference.

TONY THOMAS, the Tranmere Rovers full-back, is to undergo a knee operation and will be out for at least a month.

MSV DUISBURG, of the German Bundesliga, have ordered the Nigerian World Cup player, Emmanuel Amunike, to report to them immediately. Amunike, who had refused to accept Fifa's ruling in favour of Duisburg, has been training with the Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon. Both clubs claimed they had signed the player from the Egyptian club, Zamalek, resulting in Fifa being asked to adjudicate.
