Sporting digest: Motor racing

Mike Brown, a 26-year-old from Buckinghamshire, will drive a works Seat Ibiza in next year's Mobil 1 British Rally Championship after dominating the Seat Finance Super Six series.

Peter Dumbreck, from Scotland, who won the All-Japan Formula 3 Championship with three races to spare after five victories, hopes his success will lead to him securing a Formula One drive before the end of 1999.
