THE former England centre Clive Woodward has been appointed chief coach to London Irish, relegated from the Courage League Division One last season. He takes over from the former All Black Hika Reid, who was in charge for two seasons.

ARGENTINA knocked the United States out of the 1995 World Cup in South Africa when they beat them 16-11 in the second leg of a play-off on Monday.
