STEFAN EDBERG will meet Arnaud Boetsch and Henrik Holm plays Cedric Pioline tomorrow in the first round of singles matches in the Davis Cup quarter-final between France and Sweden in Cannes. The ties will be reversed on Sunday and in tomorrow's doubles, Jan Apell and Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden are due to face Olivier Delaitre and Jean-Philippe Fleurian.
SERGI BRUGUERA, twice the French open champion and ranked No 4 in the world, faces Germany's Marc Goellner in Friday's opening singles match of the Davis Cup quarter-final between Germany and Spain in Halle. In the second singles match Michael Stich, the world No 3, faces Spain's Jordi Burillo, while in tomorrow's doubles Stich and Patrik Kuhnen are expected to meet Carlos Costa and Tomas Carbonell.
