Kenya 134 Zimbabwe 137-5 Zimbabwe win by 5 wickets

Paul Strang, the leg-spinner, amassed five wickets as Zimbabwe gained a far from convincing five-wicket win over Kenya in their World Cup match in Patna, India, yesterday.

Kenya were dismissed for 134 with two balls of their 50 overs remaining, and Zimbabwe made heavy weather of overtaking their target before they eventually reached 137 for 5 with 7.4 overs remaining.

Sent in to bat, Kenya made a steady start despite losing their opener Tariq Iqbal with seven on the board. Deepak Chudasama and Kennedy Otieno took the score to 60 for 1 in the 22nd over before the latter was bowled for 19 by the off-spinner Steven Peall to start the collapse, with four wickets falling in the space of seven runs and 32 balls. Strang then took command to steer his side home.
