Britain's Davis Cup plans rocked by Baker ankle injury

Great Britain's preparations for this weekend's Davis Cup tie against Lithuania suffered a serious setback when Jamie Baker, who is one of the three contenders for the two singles berths, pulled out after suffering an ankle injury in training in Vilnius yesterday.

James Ward and Dan Evans now look certain to play in the Europe Africa Zone Group Two match, which begins tomorrow. Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski are set to play in the doubles.

The Lithuanian team, which includes the highest ranked singles player in the tie in Ricardas Berankis, the world No 198, reported a clean bill of health.
