British pair Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins cruised into round three of the men's doubles at the Australian Open today to set up a showdown with the Bryan brothers.

Fleming and Hutchins, the 15th seeds, proved too strong for the Russian duo of Alex Bogomolov Jnr and Igor Kunitsyn, winning 6-0 6-3 in just 55 minutes.

Their next match promises to be more difficult, though, as they come up against Mike and Bob Bryan, the top seeds and three-time defending champions in Melbourne.

In the mixed, Jamie Murray and his Chinese partner Shuai Peng lost 6-3 5-7 (10/5) to Abigail Spears of the United States and Mariusz Fyrstenberg of Poland.
