Great Britain have the chance to win the Davis Cup this weekend for the first time in 79 years, with Andy Murray looking to join John McEnroe and Mats Wilander as the only men to go a calendar year without losing a match in the tournament.

Britain have not featured in a final since 1978, but they will come up against a Belgium side who themselves are looking to end 111 years of hurt, having last reached the final in 1904 but failing to win the Davis Cup.

Murray will lead a team made up of Kyle Edmund and his own brother Jamie Murray, with five matches set to be played out against the Belgian team of David Goffin, Ruben Bemelmans, Steve Darcis and Kimmer Coppejans.

Here’s how the weekend will play out:

Friday: David Goffin vs Kyle Edmund, Ruben Bemelmans vs Andy Murray.

Saturday: Kimmer Coppejans/Steve Darcis vs Jamie Murray/Andy Murray.

Sunday: David Goffin vs Andy Murray, Ruben Bemelmans vs Kyle Edmund.

Goffin and Edmund's match on Friday will get underway at 12.30pm, with Murray's clash with Bemelmans scheduled to follow, while Murray's encounter with Goffin on Sunday starts at the same time before Edmund wraps things up against Bemelmans.

Saturday's doubles match will get underway at 2.30pm, with all matches being screened live on BBC One and BBC Two.

Great Britain captain Leon Smith has also retained James Ward in his squad for the reverse singles should the match go to a fifth and final tie-break rubber.

More than 1,000 British fans are expected to be among the 13,000-strong crowd over the three days at the Flanders Expo in Ghent, where all matches will be played on an indoor surface.

Edmund, just 20 years of age, will be making his debut in the final, becoming the sixth man to make his first appearance in the Davis Cup final.
