Wimbledon Men's Final 2013: How did THEY get a ticket? Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler among the celebrities spotted on Centre Court

Those magical Centre Court tickets were rather easier for some to procure than for others. Being Scottish helped, naturally: there was Alex Salmond, Scotland’s First Minister. Multiple Olympic gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy had a seat, as did the star of ‘The 300’, actor Gerard Butler. The latter had somehow colour co-ordinated his grey jacket with a non-Scot on his right, Hollywood idol Bradley Cooper, which perhaps explains the pair’s smug, sunglassed selfie, captured for posterity on Twitter.

Elsewhere, Victoria Beckham sat chatting to her friend Tana Ramsay, wife of TV chef Gordon, just behind Wayne and Coleen Rooney and not far from David Cameron. Murray’s win even prompted Beckham, who is almost as famous for her straight face as Ivan Lendl, to crack a smile. Then there was Ronnie Wood, who had recovered from the previous evening’s Hyde Park gig with the Rolling Stones to turn up in time for the drama. The guitarist was spotted wishing Murray’s mother Judy his best before the match.

Also among golden ticket holders were retired tennis player Greg Rusedski, US Open golf winner Justin Rose, Labour leader Ed Miliband and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
