Not many tennis or betting experts would have predicted this year's Wimbledon Women's Singles semi final matches, with favourites Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova having fallen at earlier hurdles.
Third seed Simona Halep meets Eugenie Bouchard in the Wimbledon semi-finals, with the young Romanian, who is the highest seed left in this year's draw, beating last year's finalist Sabine Lisicki in straight sets.
20-year-old Canadian Bouchard has not dropped a set yet in her 2014 Wimbledon run and overcame ninth seed Angelique Kerber of Germany in her quarter final match.
The first match on Centre Court today will see an all-Czech affair as Lucie Safarova takes on Petra Kvitova.
Kvitova won Wimbledon back in 2011 when she beat Maria Sharapova. Safarova is playing in her first ever Grand Slam semi final and has lost all of her five previous clashes with Kvitova.
