Each day, The Independent's tennis correspondent, Paul Newman, will be charting the progress of Great Britain's best hope at Wimbledon, Andy Murray.
The Scotsman became the first Briton to win at SW1 since Fred Perry 77 years previously when he beat Novak Djokovic in the 2013 final. The Serbian is now the reigning champion after his victory over Roger Federer last year.
Murray isn't usually joined by many Brits in the third round at SW19, but this year he has two others flying the Union Jack alongside him, with Heather Watson and James Ware progressing.
To find out the latest news from the Murray camp and his chances of progressing through to the final on July 12, watch the latest video from Paul Newman below:Reuse content
