Tickets for the NBA's visit to London in January sold out in less than an hour this morning, a new record for the league.

The Milwaukee Bucks face the New York Knicks on 15 January in the fifth regular season game at the O2 Arena since 2011.

Each game has been a sell-out but tickets, which went on sale at 9am, were all gone before the clock struck 10 for this game.

“We are thrilled with these results and really want to thank our fans for their ongoing support,” said Benjamin Morel, NBA Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“Selling out faster than ever further demonstrates the tremendous appetite for more NBA basketball in the UK and throughout Europe.

“With these exciting teams coming to London prepared to compete, our fans can look forward to an authentic NBA experience delivering the entertainment, excitement and all-around spectacle European fans have come to know and love.”

Fans are reminded to follow @NBAUK and NBA UK Facebook as a limited number of tickets may become available through releases closer to the game.
