NFL week seven recap: Tom Brady throws two late touchdowns to keep Patriots unbeaten as Jaguars win thriller in London

Carolina Panthers also unbeaten with impressive win over the Eagles

Tom Brady overcame New England's shaky first three quarters by throwing for a pair of touchdowns in the fourth as the Patriots beat the New York Jets 30-23 on Sunday to remain unbeaten in the NFL.

Brady completed 13 of 16 passes for 135 yards in the final quarter to overcome a 20-16 lead and give New England a two-game lead over the Jets in the AFC East. He was 34 of 54 for 355 yards overall - numbers that would have been even better if not for the 11 drops by his receivers, six by newly activated Brandon LaFell.

"I thought we played better as the game went on," said Brady. "We made the plays when we needed to make them. I think that was the important thing."

Carolina's Cam Newton took another step toward rewriting the NFL record book as the Panthers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-16 to remain unbeaten after their first six games for the first time in club history.

Newton threw for a touchdown and ran for another score, marking the fourth time this season he has accomplished that feat in a game and 28th time in his career - three behind Hall of Famer Steve Young for the league record. Jonathan Stewart ran for 119 yards and Mike Tolbert scored two touchdowns for Carolina, which has won a franchise-record 10 straight regular-season games dating to last season.

In East Rutherford, New Jersey, Dwayne Harris raced a 100 yards with a kickoff return against his former Dallas teammates seconds after the Cowboys had leveled the game as New York Giants moved atop the National Football East with a 27-20 victory over Dallas.

Harris spent four seasons in Dallas without running back a kickoff for a score. But he equaled a Giants record set in 1994 by romping untouched to the end zone.

Miami became the first team since at least 1940 to score four offensive touchdowns of at least 50 yards in a half as the Dolphins downed the Houston Texans 44-26.

The Dolphins led 41-0 at halftime, making the drubbing even more emphatic than a 38-10 win at Tennessee a week earlier in Dan Campbell's debut as head coach.

The Washington Redskins edged past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-30 for the largest comeback in club history after Kirk Cousins threw three second-half touchdown passes, including the go-ahead score with 24 seconds left, while Derek Carr threw three touchdown in the Oakland Raiders' 37-29 victory over the Chargers in what could be the last game of the American Football Conference West rivalry played in San Diego.

In other games, Teddy Bridgewater threw for a season-high 316 yards and two touchdowns in the Minnesota Vikings' 28-19 win over the Detroit Lions, the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Tennessee Titans 10-7 and the Jacksonville Jaguars came back to down the Buffalo Bills 34-31.

The St. Louis Rams ran past the Cleveland Browns 24-6, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-13 to end a five-game losing streak, and the New Orleans Saints were 27-21 winners over the Indiana Colts.
