West Ham's Croatian centre-half Slaven Bilic has been granted a work permit but will not be back in the country in time for today's game with Nottingham Forest. He should make his debut against Tottenham a week on Monday.

Established European players will not be at the Atlanta Olympics this summer. Uefa confirmed yesterday that it will not abide by new rules allowing teams to field three big-name players over the age of 23 for the Olympics.
