WESTERN SAMOA TO FIELD INTERNATIONALS AGAINST LONDON
Rugby Union
Western Samoa will field nine of the Test team that drew 15-15 with Scotland when they play London at Twickenham tomorrow in the first of four matches against English divisional sides. They retain only two of the side that lost to Cambridge University on Saturday, the wing Brina Lima and their captain Pat Lam in the back row. Tulele Faaiuaso, who scored four tries against Oxford University last week, is given the chance to stake a claim for a place in the team to play England on 16 December.
WESTERN SAMOA (v London, Twickenham, tomorrow): A Autagavaia; B Lima, S Leaega, G Leaupepe, T Faaiuaso; D Kellett, J Filemu; M Mika, T Leiasamaivao, G Latu, M Birtwhistle, P Leavasa, S Smith, P Lam (capt), S Kaleta. Replacements: M Vaea, V Patu, T Vaega, S Vaifaale, P Fatialofa, O Matauiau.
David Sole, the former Scotland captain who coaches Edinburgh Academicals, will appear before the Scottish tomorrow to explain his public criticism of the referee Colin Henderson after the match between Edinburgh and Melrose. Bill Hogg, the SRU chief executive, said: "This is not a disciplinary hearing, but we have sanctions to deal with the matter if necessary. The bye-laws relate not just to players but to anyone in a club who is deemed to bring the game into disrepute."
