WORLD CUP BETTING

NOT DISGRACED in going down 1-0 to Romania in their opening match, Colombia should beat Tunisia (maybe 1-0 in Montpellier this afternoon.

The South Americans will find their North African rivals a lot easier to handle although, without Faustino Asprilla, they may lack the cutting edge to win by a decisive margin. Anthony de Avila may be the best bet to be first scorer.

England, who did punters a favour by beating Tunisia 2-0 with Alan Shearer scoring the first goal in their opening match, will find Romania an entirely tougher proposition but, in what promises to be a tense and close affair, are fancied to emerge with a narrow victory (perhaps 1-0).

Romania's Adrian Ilie - who obliged for us at 13-2 when scoring the only goal in Romania's 1-0 victory over Colombia - is a useful striker but Tony Adams and Co are fancied to contain him and Shearer again looks the best option to score the first goal.
