The Language Show, in association with The Independent

The UK's biggest language event

Thursday, 2 October 2008

The Independent is proud to be the official media partner of the Language Show this year, the UK’s biggest event for language learners, language teachers, linguists and anyone with a passion for languages.

Between 31 October and 2 November, visitors can attend over 80 free seminars and meet more than 160 exhibitors at London’s Olympia, to find out more about all aspects of teaching and learning a language. A whole host of language experts will be in attendance, including universities, language guide publishers and organisations such as Hotcourses, the Royal Air Force and the BBC.

Teachers can take a trip to the TEFL Village to find out about the latest CD-Roms, online tools, accreditations and associations that can enhance classroom teaching, while the Language Recruitment Fair on 31 October and 1 November is the first port of call for those with language skills who are looking for employment.

In the meantime, look out for the dedicated languages supplement that will be published in The Independent on 23 October, produced in association with the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the National Centre for Languages.

We look forward to meeting you at the show!
