The favourite to replace Moyes. With current club Wigan almost certain to be relegated from the Premier League, it seems unlikely that owner Dave Whelan would stand in the way of the Spaniard choosing to leave for Goodison Park. On a tight budget, he has kept Wigan in the Premier League year-after-year by the skin of their teeth while playing an attractive brand of football. Also played a key part in the revitalisation of Swansea City during his two years in South Wales before leaving for Wigan in 2009. Martinez also has an eye for a bargain in the transfer market.
