October 2 - Steve McClaren (Nottm Forest)
Former England manager Steve McClaren lasted just 112 days at this historic club, although his departure was no great surprise. Forest represented McClaren's first job in English football since his disastrous reign of the national team was brought to an end. Yet quickly things didn't look rosy at the City Ground amid reports of unrest when McClaren was unable to bring in new players during the summer transfer window. McClaren oversaw six defeats in 10 Championship games, the last result being a 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham City. After the match the club announced his resignation, and said he would not be seeking compensation.
