December 16 - Gianfranco Zola (Watford)
The Italian's offer of resignation was accepted by the Hornets' hierarchy, with the early season promotion candidates suffering a woeful run of form that has seen them fail to win their last nine games. Zola had a tremendous relationship with the fans of the club, but having fallen at the final hurdle last season with the play-off final defeat to Crystal Palace, Zola has paid the price as he is on the lookout for a new job.

Gianfranco Zola
The Italian left Watford on Monday after a poor run of nine games without a wink, but Zola is currently favourite to takeover at the Hawthorns according to bookmakers. Zola has previously coached in the Premier Division with West Ham, before taking over at Watford in July 2012. He could be set for a return to the top flight though having missed out last season, when the Hornets were defeated in the Play-off final by Crystal Palace.
