I'm not modelling any more It's been a crazy journey since first being spotted but modelling never felt like a long-term plan. I've wanted to act since I was a child [Cole has appeared in films including The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and last year's Snow White and the Huntsman]. I've also got a geeky side, so I'm now involved in a project within the tech industry.

The decision to make cookery lessons compulsory for children aged between 11 and 14 is to be welcomed. Predictably, some teaching unions claim the curriculum is already far too rigid and that this latest initiative will mean hard-pressed staff finding it even more difficult to tailor lessons to individual needs.

It's not easy being green. To buy an Anya Hindmarch I'm Not a Plastic Bag last summer, you had to start queuing at 5am only to discover the "eco-bags" weren't organic, and had been flown halfway across the world.
