BOZAR arts and film
Saturday, 6 September 2008
The Palais des Beaux-Arts, or BOZAR, is the centre of Fine Arts in Brussels. It's housed in an Art Deco masterpiece, which was built in 1928 by the city's near-legendary architect Victor Horta (see overleaf).
Meticulous work carried out since June 2002 has restored this great palace of the arts to its original glory, while also doubling the space available for its activities and remarkable exhibitions, from historic figures to ethnographic themes or modern art. Come to see the building and then revel in its contents.
From music and cinema to theatre and dance, the range offered by BOZAR is fabulous. You can hear world-class symphony orchestras, take in cutting-edge photographic exhibitions and see the work of major film-makers and new choreographers. October sees the opening of a two-month event from Palestine and a four-month event celebrating the arts of Korea.
BOZAR is at Rue Ravenstein 23, just two minutes' walk from Gare Centrale. Information and tickets are available at www.bozar.be or by calling 00 32 2 507 8200.
