Where to stay: Océade

Splash into family fun at this action-packed water park on the north-west side of Brussels. You'll find the warmest beach in the country here – and permanent summer too, with the complex heated to 30°C the whole year round.

There's a great choice of waterslides for all the family to try out: The Cyclone is 140m long while The Hurricane is the fastest slide in Belgium taking just seven seconds to swoosh you down 80m.

Other attractions range from wave pools to saunas and Jacuzzi.
