There is no finer way to discover and explore the dramatic Norwegian coastline than aboard an authentic Hurtigruten cruise.

The ships take you directly into the heart of Norwegian life on what many people call the world’s most beautiful voyage. You will enjoy fantastic shore excursions, locally sourced cuisine on board and the company of like-minded travellers.

Wildlife watching is fantastic throughout the year and a coastal voyage will provide you with opportunity to spot eagles, seabirds, reindeer, jumping salmon and even whales.

2013 also sees Hurtigruten celebrating its 120th anniversary, so to commemorate this historic event, there are some special prices available on selected half-board sailings. For example, a six-day voyage from Kirkenes to Tromsø is now from only £769pp, representing a massive saving of £650pp.

You begin your voyage at Kirkenes, close to the Russian border, before sailing on to Hammerfest and then Tromsø. Here you will have the chance to take part in a very special musical experience, the Arctic Cathedral Midnight Concert.

The tranquil and serene Vesterålen and Lofoten Islands are the next ports of call. As a tribute to the fishing industry in Lofoten, the Hurtigruten chef will show how to fillet the catch of the day on deck.

As you cross the Arctic Circle and sail past the famed peaks of the Seven Sisters, you will enter a world of legend and folklore. You may chose to visit the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Scandinavia’s largest medieval building, where three Queens and seven Kings have been crowned.

Later, on the way to Kristiansund, you can see the steep, pointed and snow-covered peaks of the Romsdal Alps. Then finally sailing to Bergen, the gateway to the fjords, where your voyage comes to an end. You will then return home relaxed, refreshed and revitalised, with memories that will last forever.
