Late bargains at Gatwick

Gatwick airport now has a bucket shop, selling discounted tickets. Flightbookers at the South Terminal specialises in last-minute tickets.

A test run last week produced a saving of pounds 522 - over 50 percent - on a flight to Panama City, and secured a fare of pounds 88 for a departure to Paris within the hour.

Flightbookers opens 7am-10pm daily. Although it can cope with people sprinting straight from the train, staff prefer to be alerted with a call to 0293-568300 before you reach the airport.
