In a sign of the times, "Bail Out" and "On the Rocks" have entered the list of the most popular boat names in the United States, according to the Boat Owners Association of the US.
The group represents over half a million American boat owners and has been compiling its list of most popular names since 1991. In 2009, "Second Wind" was the most popular boat name overall.
"Bail Out, the number five pick, clearly speaks volumes about what's on boaters' minds," said BoatUS President Nancy Michelman. "With today's economic uncertainty, naming a boat Bail Out could indicate that boating is a survival mechanism for the family that will keep them afloat."
