Caught on camera: National Geographic announces the winners of its 2013 traveller photo competition

National Geographic Traveler Magazine has announced the winners of its prestigious photography competition which showcases the planet in all its diversity.

Now in its 25th year, the competition received more than 15,000 entries from photographers around the globe, with contestants submitting photographs in four categories: Travel Portraits, Outdoor Scenes, Sense of Place and Spontaneous Moments.

The winning images will appear in the December 2013/January 2014 issue of National Geographic Traveler magazine.
