Click, pack and go: our pick of this week’s last-minute travel deals

With the clocks changing this weekend, and the chills of winter therefore imminent, now might well be the time to take advantage of some of the flight and accommodation offers currently available through ebookers (
ebookers.com ).

Seven nights in Dubai at the three-star Jormand Hotel Apartments, departing 2 November from Cardiff costs £416 including flights. Alternatively, many operators are gambling on Las Vegas this winter: ebookers is als ooffering five nights at the three-star Sahara Hotel and Casino, departing 17 November, which costs £491 including flights.

The snow is already falling on the Alps, which should inspire you to book: Ski Total ( skitotal.com) has one week at Chalet La Cognée in Les Gets, France, departing 13 December for £384 including buy-one-get-one ski equipment hire, free introductory session with a ski instructor and three days free ski hosting. Flights from Stansted are also included in the price.

Hungry for some gravadlax? The Grand Hotel Lund ( grandilund.com) in Skane, Southern Sweden, is offering a special gourmet break for £138 per person, which includes deluxe overnight b&b, a five-course dinner in the hotel’s fine-dining restaurant and a champagne tour of the wine cellar. Flights are not included, so try easyjet.co.uk to Copenhagen and then take the train to nearby Malmo.

Or why not try to catch the last of the summer's warmth with a cruise in the Med? Sailfromuk.com is offering a 10-night Mediterranean cruise on board the Fred Olsen Boudicca from £599. Departing from Portsmouth, the ship calls at Bilbao, La Coruna, Leixoes (Portugal), Gibraltar and Lisbon before returning to Portsmouth.

With activity, leisure and dining covered, the next vital holiday activity is, of course, shopping. Virgin Holidays and Hip Hotels ( vhiphotels.co.uk ) are offering three nights at the luxury Hotel on Rivington (as seen on the cover of Moby’s Hotel album) with breakfast for £699 departing Heathrow on 23 November, including flights and private transfers. All of which means you’ll have the chance to see in at least the morning of Thanksgiving in the Big Apple.

Happy travelling.
