Deals of the week: Scandinavia, Andorra, Las Vegas

Less than £200... Northern lights

If you're planning to visit Scandinavia any time between 3
January and 31 March, visit the SAS Airlines website before Monday
to take advantage of the company's seat sale from Heathrow.
Copenhagen is available for £118 return, with Stockholm, Oslo and
Stavanger on sale for £124. Highlights of the region include
Stavanger's domkirke, the oldest cathedral in Norway; the canals
and colourful buildings of Copenhagen; or a hiker's paradise in the
seven glorious hills of Bergen.

Less than £500... Principal attraction

Andorra is still waiting for some proper snow, but the forecast is good. Spend Christmas scaling the slopes of Arinsal – one of the tiny principality's top winter sports resorts – with a week-long ski break at the well-placed Hotel Sant Gothard for £456 per person. The deal includes half-board and Thomas Cook Airlines flights from Gatwick on 19 December. Try sledging, snowshoeing or night skiing at the resort, or visit the capital where Caldea thermal spa awaits to soothe weary limbs. Statravel.co.uk

Less than £1,000... Ominous escape

Sin City for £666? It could make for five devilish days in Vegas. BA Holidays will fly you out on 12 December, for a room-only stay at the Circus Circus hotel, located at the northern end of the Strip, for £666 per person. The themed hotel boasts an on-site casino, along with the world's largest permanent circus, an indoor theme park, a shopping mall and handful of restaurants. Should you tire of man-made attractions, the Grand Canyon national park is accessible as a day trip. Ba.com
