Eurostar has announced a flash sale to help holidaymakers get over the end-of-summer blues.

The rail company will sell seats for £29 one way from London to Paris, Lille, Brussels and Calais for travel between 28 September and 9 December.

Fares to any Belgian destination, including Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp, are £35 in the same time period. Alternatively you could head south to Lyon for £45 or to Avignon or Marseilles for £49 between 3 September and 4 November.

The promotion will run for two weeks, from 29 August to 11 September, and 44,500 tickets are available in total.

If you’re in the mood to splash a little more cash, you can upgrade to Standard Premier for £70 to Paris, Lille, Brussels and Calais, £79 to Belgium, £80 to Lyon and £85 to Avignon and Marseilles. The premium ticket includes a light meal as well as a slightly larger seat.

Passengers travelling on the new e320 train can get online with free wifi. Eurostar also offers a two for one deal on entry into a range of attractions including Musée d’Orsay in Paris, Bozar in Brussels, Mucem in Marseille and Le Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille, which travellers can claim by showing their train tickets.

Mary Walsh, director of communications for Eurostar said: “We’re encouraging our customers to beat the post-summer holiday blues by booking a great value escape. With all Eurostar destinations on sale, we’re offering travellers a wider range of getaway options than ever before, so there’s never been a better time to travel.”
