Sicily on sale

Soak up a slice of Sicilian culture this autumn. Voyages Jules Verne has a week-long stay at the Park Hotel Silemi overlooking the Bay of Taormina, with BA flights from Gatwick to Catania on 2 October for £515 per person. While there, visit the offshore Aeolian Islands, hike up Mount Etna (pictured), or amble along the charming streets of Taormina, with its amphitheatre and rustic restaurants.

Tropical Thailand

Kuoni has an eight-night break at the Cosy Beach Hotel on the western edge of the Gulf of Thailand. Located two miles from the centre of Pattaya (pictured), the hotel has a large pool, plush rooms, a spa, several diving options and beach access. The deal –£644 per person – includes room-only accommodation, Oman Air flights from Heathrow to Bangkok via Muscat on 24 September and transfers.

Luxury for less

Jet2holidays has launched a new "Indulgent Escapes" collection of luxury hotels, designed to offer five-star properties at affordable prices. One example is a week-long stay at the Sheraton Rhodes (pictured), with breakfast and Jet2 flights from Manchester on 7 September for £662 per person. Other European hotels include La Manga resort on Spain's Costa Calida and the Imperial Art Deco in Prague.
