Swiss bliss

Spend a week skiing in the Bernese Alps – home of the towering Eiger and Jungfrau peaks – for £429 per person. The deal with Inghams includes a week's half-board at the Hotel Jungfrau Lodge in the scenic town of Grindelwald, with flights from Gatwick to Geneva and transfers on 5 January 2013 (inghams.co.uk).

Thai life

Virgin Holidays has eight nights relaxing on the beach at the luxurious Sheraton hotel in Krabi early next year for £939pp. The deal includes Thai Airways flights from Heathrow to Krabi via Bangkok, travelling between 17 and 24 January, with transfers and breakfast (virginholidays.co.uk).

Rural reprieve

The Kasbah Angour is an English-owned, Berber-built hotel in Morocco with views of the Toubkal Massif and the surrounding Atlas peaks. From 4 January to 28 February, it's offering a four-night break with full-board meals and transfers from Marrakech for £299pp (flights excluded). Activities such as guided walks, 4x4 drives, car excursions and camel riding are all bookable as extras (kasbahangour.com).

City and sea

Next spring, Citalia is offering a twin-centre trip to Italy for £679pp. The 10-night jaunt departs on 20 April with British Airways flights from Gatwick to Rome for three nights at the San Remo Hotel, followed by rail transfers to Sorrento, for a week at the Plaza Hotel, breakfast included (citalia.com).
