Night at the museum
The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam's former Sweelinck Conservatory of Music has a "museum package" reflecting the recent revival of the city's cultural institutions. The two-night B&B stay includes a deluxe room, tickets to the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk or Van Gogh Museum, and an Old Masters afternoon tea. Bon Voyage has a 10-night escape to the Hawaiian island of Maui for £1,725pp, with United flights from Heathrow via Los Angeles and rental of a convertible car. Western & Oriental has a twin-centre trip that combines two magical destinations in Bali for £1,299pp. It starts with three nights at Giri Luxury Tent camp, off the beaten track on the slopes of Mt Batukaru, then moves on for six nights to Menjangan Island, for a stay at the Menjangan Resort. Grand Indian adventure
Until Thursday, Explore is offering discounts on guided group tours to India. Examples include the 12-day "Kerala Backwaters" trip, which spends time crusing the state's waterways by houseboat and searching for wildlife in Periyar National Park, for £1,291pp, flights included (explore.co.uk).
