Inntravel has a three-night getaway to Gothenburg in west Sweden for £494pp. The deal includes B&B at the Vanilla Hotel and SAS flights from Heathrow on next Friday, 17 November – which gets you there just in time to take in the city's Christmas market, when stalls selling glogg (mulled wine) and gifts fill Liseberg park until 23 December (inntravel.co.uk).
From now until 13 December, Virgin Holidays is offering a decadent dose of winter sun at the Desert Palm in Dubai, which has a spa, pool, and manicured grounds a 20-minute drive outside the city. The five-night package costs £799pp, with breakfast, Heathrow flights and transfers (vhiphotels.co.uk).
Kuoni has a twin-centre trip to Vietnam for £1,139pp. Departing on 16 January, it includes Vietnam Airlines flights from Gatwick to Ho Chi Minh City for two nights' B&B at the Liberty Central Hotel, followed by six nights' B&B at the five-star Sheraton hotel in Nha Trang, with transfers (kuoni.co.uk).
