Looking for a rich romantic history and breathtaking views?

There’s nothing more romantic than being whisked away on an impromptu break. Audrey Hepburn once said ‘Paris is always a good idea’ and indeed Paris, the backdrop of countless romcoms, topped the list with romantic spots at every turn from stealing a kiss under the Eiffel Tower to a hand-in-hand stroll along the Seine.

Sydney, Australia followed closely in second place, renowned for its world-class wineries, gorgeous beaches and endless possibility of couple-based activities. Unsurprisingly in third position was the timelessly romantic Venice, where George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin will marry this weekend, and Kyoto in Japan came fourth owing to its quaint teahouses, elaborate gardens and tranquility.
