Ten UK Summer Cottage Deals

2 Shropshire: The lakeside village of Hanmer is the setting for the Loft Barn, sleeping four, available from 22 July for £350 a week through holidaylettings.co.uk.

3 Pembrokeshire: A traditional hillside farm cottage with sea views is on offer at Strumble Head through Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire (coastalcottages.co .uk). Bristgarn, sleeping four, costs £476 for a week from 27 August.

4 Lake District: Snittlegarth Lodge, a pine log cabin in the fells of the northern Lakes, is available from 12 and 19 August for £490 with Cumbrian cottages (cumbrian-cottages.co.uk).
