Willem De Kooning: A Retrospective

New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) presents the first major museum exhibition devoted to the range of artwork by Willem de Kooning, widely considered to be among the most important artists of the 20th century. This survey covers nearly seven decades, beginning with his early academic works, made in Holland before he moved to the United States in 1926, and concluding with his final, sparely abstract paintings of the late 1980s.

Cirque du Soleil's 'Michael Jackson The Immortal'

Famed high-flying troupe Cirque du Soleil kicks off its tribute to the King of Pop in their own hometown of Montreal on October 2. 117th Australian Rules Football Grand Final (October 1, Melbourne, Australia)
The Australian Rules Football grand final is Australia's most important sporting event. "Aussie Rules" (aka "footy") is a variant of football, rugby and Gaelic football and is considered a matter of national pride.
