The best of British competition: Which landmarks best define 21st-century Britain?
Win a night for two at Claridge's, with dinner and breakfast
Does the traditional still hold sway or would more modern structures make it on to your list of the top 21?
Which are the landmarks that define Britain? Stonehenge, Canterbury Cathedral or the Tower of London probably spring to mind. However, the nation's architecture is advancing at an almost unprecedented pace, making it high time to celebrate the icons that define 21st-century Britain. In association with British Airways High Life magazine, we are inviting you to nominate the 21 landmarks that represent the UK today.
Suffolk's Balancing Barn or Heathrow Terminal 5 might top your list – submit your choice, old or new, at highlife.ba.com/21landmarks from Wednesday 1 April. The list will then be put to a panel of experts, with the results revealed in these pages in August.
From these submissions, a winner will be selected, at random, to enjoy an overnight stay for two at the ultimate London landmark hotel, Claridge's, with dinner at Fera and breakfast included (020 7629 8860; claridges.co.uk).
