The website
SecretEarth.com is a new trip-planning website that allows you to search for inspiration, plan an itinerary and book tours, transfers, and accommodation in your chosen destination.
The flight
Avianca, Colombia's national carrier, resumes non-stop flights from Heathrow to the capital, Bogota, from 4July. The last direct flights between the two cities ended in 2005 (avianca.co.uk).
The hotel
Malmaison will open its new hotel in Dundee tomorrow. It has 91 bedrooms, a brasserie and bar, and overlooks the River Tay and Captain Scott's RRS Discovery. Doubles £99, B&B (malmaison.com).
