A palace reborn

For the second time, the Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover has been comprehensively rebuilt. It reopened with a new museum this week, completing one of Europe's finest gardens (visit-hannover.com/en; for our latest 48 hours in Hanover, see: bit.ly/Han48).

Indian summer

"Charles Correa: India's Greatest Architect" is at RIBA in London until 4 September. The free exhibition charts his work in post-independence India through visual displays, lectures, screenings and a Mumbai-themed evening (architecture.com).
