Another India

Inntravel's new tours include the 10-day "Hills and Coast of Karnataka". The lesser-visited Indian region – south of Goa and north of Kerala – is a patchwork of spice plantations, hill stations and palm-fringed beaches. It costs from £1,625pp with hotels, meals and flights (inntravel.co.uk).

High life

Manhattan's latest digs, The High Line Hotel, opens in Chelsea on Wednesday, with luxurious modern rooms and views of either the park or buzzy neighbourhood (thehighlinehotel.com).

Big banquet

The Big Feastival, presented by Jamie Oliver and Alex James on the Blur bassist's farm in the Cotswolds, has music from Basement Jaxx and chefs such as Bruno Loubet from 31 August-1 September (jamieoliver.com/thebigfeastival).

En Corse

Corsican Places is offering customers the chance to fly on a new direct BMI Regional charter from Bristol. The flights take off tomorrow for Bastia in the north of the island and can be booked on their own or as part of a package (corsica.co.uk).

The Vietnam Open Festival is on London's Southbank today and tomorrow, with music and 30 stalls selling Vietnamese street food (bit.ly/VietOpenFest).
