The barge along the Caledonian Canal, Fingal of Caledonia, now has a sister vessel: Ros Crana. A week in August, sailing between Inverness and Fort William, with meals and activities, costs £795 if you book by 30 Jan (www.fingal-cruising.co.uk).

EcoCamp has a new week-long multi-activity tour that includes a geodesic dome, activities in Torres del Paine, and meals for 1,197,900 pesos (£1,578)pp (ecocamp.travel).
