Travel agenda: ILTM Asia begins

ILTM highlights the best of Asian luxury travel in Shanghai during the coming week, aiming to tap the world's fastest-growing outbound travel market. On June 17, it's the turn of Beijing to shine, with the Beijing International Tourism Expo.

Hot on the heels of Malaysia-based newcomer Luxtofair, the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) is one of the bigger luxury travel shows, with companies lining up to showcase new luxury products and destinations in the region. The launch of a new trend report is also expected on the first day.

Seabourn Quest naming ceremony

Blythe Danner will name Seabourn's newest 450-guest ship in a glittering ceremony June 20, after which she  departs on a 14-day Maiden Voyage to Athens, stopping at seaside towns in France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

49th Paris Air Show

The Le Bourget Air Show is one of the world's largest, the scene of a host of announcements from major aviation names, and a great day out for aircraft enthusiasts. Some 2,000 exhibitors are expected to be present at the show, and there will be spectacular flying displays on the public days (June 24-26).

Costa Favolosa naming ceremony

Trieste, Italy

The 15th ship in Costa's fleet offers space for 3,800 guests and new features such as the on-board water park, new jacuzzi rooms and a club area for teenagers. The ship will be named ahead of a three-day vernissage cruise departing from Venice on July 4, calling at Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Koper (Slovenia).
