After the debut of a new transatlantic route set to make the New York-London hop even easier, eyes turn to the inaugural International Tourism Conference in Jerusalem, expected to showcase Israel's tourism potential and look at some of the wider issues affecting the tourism industry.

A new deal between American Airlines and British Airways will see a new shuttle service begin between New York and London March 27, offering 15 flights daily between the two major cities.

1st International Tourism Conference - Jerusalem 2011
Prominent figures from the tourism industry are set to meet in Jerusalem at the end of March for the inaugural International Tourism Conference, which Israel hopes will offer an insight into the way tourism operates in our rapidly changing world. Speeches and seminars will focus on themes such as sustainable development, technology and tourism and the future of hotel design.
