Travel challenge: A week in Barbados

Each week we invite three companies to offer us their best deal for a specific holiday. Today: a low-season week on the Caribbean island of Barbados. Deals include flights from Gatwick to Bridgetown on 1 November, transfers and accommodation. Prices are per person based on two sharing.

Kuoni

£1,354: The Crane Resort, St Philip

Includes BA flights and B&B accommodation. "The Crane boasts amazing views, with a stunning cliff-top location overlooking the white sands and blue waters of its spectacular beach on the east coast," says Jemma Purvis from Kuoni. "The resort has excellent facilities, including a spa, fitness centre, tennis courts and a number of restaurants serving a wide range of culinary delights." (01306 747008; kuoni.co.uk)

Virgin Holidays

£1,119: Sea Breeze Beach Hotel, Maxwell Coast

Includes Virgin Atlantic flights and all-inclusive accommodation. "The Sea Breeze is in the heart of all the Barbados action – just five minutes from Oistins and its famous 'Friday night fish fry', with food stalls, local music and a great atmosphere," says Hayley Brown of Virgin Holidays.
