Travel challenge: A week in Sardinia
Friday 25 April 2014
Each week we invite three companies to offer us their best deal for a specific break. This week: a week on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Prices are per person, based on two people travelling together. Each includes a week's accommodation and easyJet flights from Gatwick to Olbia in late May.
£490 - Sardinian Places
Includes flights on 31 May, car hire and B&B at the Hotel Corallo, Isola Rossa, with a bottle of Sardinian rosé. "Hotel Corallo affords fantastic views across the Mediterranean and is perfectly poised for observing the fabulous sunsets – ideal for a romantic break," says Tiziano Spreafico (0845 330 2050; sardinianplaces.co.uk).
£779 - Just Sardinia
Includes flights on 28 May, transfers and half-board at Hotel La Coluccia, Santa Teresa di Gallura. "This small and exclusive hotel is located near Porto Pozzo in north-east Sardinia and is very popular with our guests due to its contemporary design and friendly service," says Huw Nurse (01202 484858; justsardinia.co.uk).
£949 - Citalia
Includes flights on 24 May and half-board at the Hotel Le Ginestre, Porto Cervo. Transfers extra. "This hotel stands on the Costa Smeralda, which boasts sandy coves and rocky inlets. Just 300m away, is a stunning bay, perfect for some May sunshine," says Joanna Pristernik (0843 770 4443; citalia.com).
