Tube workers suspend strikes after pay offer
A planned strike by maintenance workers on a busy London Underground line has been suspended after a new pay offer was made, it was announced tonight.
Members of the Rail Maritime and Transport union based at a Jubilee Line depot were due to stage a series of 24-hour walk-outs starting tomorrow evening.
The union said contractor Alstom had tabled a revised pay offer which it will now consider.
